A delicious crispy tofu recipe coated in a sweet and savory honey soy sauce.
Ingredients

- 14 oz extra-firm tofu
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Drain and press the tofu for at least 15 minutes. Cut into bite-sized cubes.
- Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry tofu until golden and crispy on all sides.
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Toss crispy tofu in the sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
Notes
- Pressing the tofu helps remove excess moisture for a better texture.
- Adjust the amount of honey for desired sweetness.
- Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
