Description

A hearty and flavorful Halal beef stew served with egg noodles, perfect for a comforting meal with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces, Halal-certified
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth, Halal
  • 1 cup egg noodles or your favorite type of noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce, Halal
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, Halal
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for finishing

Instructions

  1. Cut the Halal beef stew meat into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a skillet, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium heat, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until translucent and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Layer the beef, sautéed onions, garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper in your crockpot. Stir to combine.
  4. Close the lid and set your crockpot to low. Cook for 6-8 hours, or until the beef is tender and falls apart easily.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, add the egg noodles directly to the crockpot, pushing them into the sauce. If needed, add a bit more broth to ensure they are covered.
  6. Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter for added richness. Give everything a gentle mix and taste for seasoning before serving.
  7. Ladle the beef and noodles into bowls, garnishing as desired. Enjoy with your loved ones!

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the beef is well-seared before adding to the crockpot.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or peppers for extra nutrition.
