Description

Delicious and healthy fruit juice gummies that are perfect for a snack!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fruit juice (your favorite flavor)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons agar-agar powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste zest of lemon, orange, or fresh herbs

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine your fruit juice, honey or maple syrup, and lemon juice. Stir to combine well.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it starts to warm, do not let it boil.
  3. Slowly sprinkle the agar-agar powder into the warm mixture while whisking constantly to eliminate clumps.
  4. Continue to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the liquid thickens slightly.
  5. Pour the mixture into silicone molds or a small baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours or until completely set.
  7. Carefully remove the gummies from the molds and enjoy!

  • Adjust sweetness to taste; can swap for agave syrup for a vegan option.
