Description

A delicious and quick stir-fried dish featuring vibrant cabbage and carrots, topped with fresh green onions.


Ingredients

  • 1 head (approx. 900g / 2 lbs) green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 large (approx. 250g / 8 oz) carrots, julienned
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) sesame oil
  • 1 tsp (5g) ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add shredded cabbage and julienned carrots to the pan. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is tender-crisp and vibrant in color.
  3. Pour soy sauce over the vegetables and toss vigorously to coat everything evenly. Remove from heat immediately.
  4. Garnish with freshly sliced green onions before serving. A sprinkle of sesame seeds can be added for extra crunch.
