Description

A comforting and creamy soup featuring halal beef sausage and ditalini pasta, perfect for warming up on a chilly day.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb halal beef sausage (sliced)
  • 1 cup ditalini pasta
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • for garnish Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced halal beef sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  2. Once the sausage is browned, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion has softened and become translucent.
  3. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine all the flavors.
  4. Bring the soup to a gentle boil. Add the ditalini pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, and slowly stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Let the soup simmer for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot, and enjoy every comforting spoonful!
