A comforting and creamy soup featuring halal beef sausage and ditalini pasta, perfect for warming up on a chilly day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb halal beef sausage (sliced)
- 1 cup ditalini pasta
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- for garnish Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced halal beef sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once the sausage is browned, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion has softened and become translucent.
- Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine all the flavors.
- Bring the soup to a gentle boil. Add the ditalini pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low, and slowly stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Let the soup simmer for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot, and enjoy every comforting spoonful!
