Description
This delicious chocolate fudge recipe is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups chocolate chips, semi-sweet or milk chocolate
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Flakey salt for topping, optional
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with aluminum foil or parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Place the pan over medium-low heat and stir constantly until the chocolate begins to melt. Add the vanilla extract and continue stirring.
- Keep stirring until the chocolate is completely melted, the mixture is smooth, and it starts to look glossy and shiny.
- Pour the thick mixture into the prepared baking dish. If it doesn’t pour easily, gently shake the pan back and forth to help it settle, or use a rubber spatula to spread it evenly.
- Let the fudge set completely at room temperature, about 4 hours.
- Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the foil or parchment. Remove the lining and trim off the rounded edges if desired.
- Cut the fudge in half both ways to create four squares, then cut each square into thirds in both directions to make 36 even pieces.
- Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired.
Notes
- This fudge is perfect for sharing with friends and family.
- For variation, you can add nuts or other toppings.
